An innovative approach for fabricating porous alumina ceramics (PACs) with improved mechanical and thermal properties using walnut shell powders as pore-forming agent combined with alumina sol impregnation is reported in the present work. It is demonstrated that uniform distribution of spherical pores can be observed in as-prepared PACs by using above technical route. The decrease of walnut shell powder sizes significantly promotes the enhancement of crushing strength and reduction of thermal conductivity of the PACs. Meanwhile, the impregnated alumina sol is favoring for the formation of spherical micro-pores, then further improves their mechanical and thermal insulation performances. The lowest thermal conductivity and highest crushing strength of resulting sample reach 0.16?W/m?K and 29.2?MPa, respectively. In performing pavement life cycle assessment (LCA), users are facing various reports of energy intensity coefficient (EIC) of pavement materials which differ considerably among data sources and therefore alter the LCA results significantly. Instead of selecting a certain EIC without or of little explanation for the current pavement LCA practices, this study proposed a methodology to build probability density function (PDF) for EIC based on available data-set and their qualities. Each data was first evaluated about the data quality indicator (DQI) through data quality pedigree matrix and converted to PDF in modified Beta distribution form. Three weighting methods, the DQI one, coefficient of variation (COV) one and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) one, were developed to assign weightings for different data. Monte Carlo simulation was run with the weighted PDF of each data as input to obtain the ultimate PDF for EIC. A case study to estimate the bitumen’s EIC with eight data samples were performed using the proposed methodology. It is found (1): the estimates by the proposed methodology is of higher reliability (lower COV) compared to any single data due to utilisation of information of the overall data samples; (2) the AHP weighting method is most favoured despite the results of the three weighting methods are close; (3) the central estimates of bitumen’s EIC are between5.4~5.8 MJ/kg. The proposed methodology is helpful in aiding calculating EICs for pavement materials and capturing uncertainties in LCA results in a statistical sense. 相似文献

为优化直喷天然气发动机的喷射策略,在一台六缸电控直喷天然气发动机上,用试验方法研究了引燃柴油量及柴油摘/天然气喷射间隔对发动机 HC、CO和 NOx排放的影响。试验结果表明:喷射间隔一定时, HC排放随引燃柴油喷射量的增加而降低;在引燃柴油喷射量为 4.0 mg时, HC排放随喷射间隔的增加而增加;引燃柴油喷射量在 6.0~11.5 mg范围内, HC排放在喷射间隔从 0.5 ms变化到 1.1 ms时,变化较小;喷射间隔增加到 1.4 ms时, HC排放升高趋势明显。 CO排放随引燃柴油喷射量的变化规律为先降低后升高;在不同的柴油喷射量下增加喷射间隔, CO排放均降低。 NOx排放随引燃柴油喷射量的增加先降低后升高;在喷射间隔为 0.5 ms时, NOx排放相对较小,在喷射间隔为 1.4 ms时, NOx排放最高。增加引燃柴油喷射量有利于 HC的减排,对 CO排放的影响较小,但会导致 NOx排放的恶化;增加喷射间隔会促使 HC和 NOx排放的升高,但 CO排放有所降低。 相似文献

This article presents the authors’ first attempt to improve quality of edible bird’s nest through continuous and intermittent low-temperature drying (25 and 40°C) with infrared and ultraviolet C (UVC) treatments. The attributes of quality were compared in regard to quality of hot-air-dried samples at 70–90°C. Experimental results showed that a significant improvement in the quality of edible bird’s nest in terms of minimizing color changes and rehydration capacity using intermittent low-temperature drying with infrared and UVC drying profile. However, it was also found that any drying method has less significant effect on the nitrite content of edible bird’s nest. 相似文献
